In 2022 (when she was around 19–20), Noelia was reportedly a victim of sexual assault (including claims of gang rape in some reports) while in a state-run care facility amid family difficulties. She then attempted suicide by jumping from a fifth-floor building, which left her paraplegic (paralyzed from the waist down) and caused chronic, severe pain.
