The feast is celebrated with proper Mass and Office either on the third Sunday of July or on

8 March (8/3 or 3/8) 1749,

tThe Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer solemnizes this feast as a double of the first class with an octave on the third Sunday of July.

The same congregation also keeps the feast as a greater double on

23 October and 25 February.

The Feast of the Most Holy Redeemer is a Double Feast having two days.

The Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro is an iconic landmark that is recognized worldwide. Standing tall on the Corcovado mountain, this statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms symbolizes peace and redemption. Recently, in response to the global pandemic, a message was projected onto the statue.

The words "Vaccine Saves" were prominently displayed on 15 May 2021.
