The Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, 2 February [2/2] the 33rd day of the year (leaving 333 days left in the year in 2024) ,also known as Candlemas, is a significant celebration in the Christian calendar. It commemorates the presentation of the infant Jesus at the Temple in Jerusalem, forty days after his birth. According to ancient Jewish tradition, this event marked the purification of Mary and the consecration of Jesus FORTY days after his birth. On this day, candles are blessed and lit to symbolize the light of Christ entering the world. It is a day of joy and gratitude as believers gather to honour the presentation of the Lord and his divine mission. The Feast of the Presentation serves as a reminder of the spiritual significance of Jesus' birth and his role as the guiding light in our lives.

The Feast of Tabernacles is a significant festival in the Jewish calendar. Also known as Sukkot, it is a week-long celebration that commemorates the forty years the Israelites spent in the wilderness after their exodus from Egypt. During this festival, people build temporary booths or sukkahs and live in them for the duration of the holiday. These sukkahs are decorated with fruits, vegetables, and branches to symbolize the harvest season. The Feast of Tabernacles is a time of joy and thanksgiving, where families gather to rejoice, eat festive meals, and give thanks for the blessings of the year. It is a time to remember God's faithfulness and provision throughout history.
