Anti-Semitism, The Guardian, BBC and Israel.

BBC chairman Richard Sharp has resigned (28 April 2023) after breaking rules over dealings with Boris Johnson ahead of his appointment.

A report found Mr Sharp created the appearance of a conflict of interest by not fully disclosing his knowledge of the ex-PM's personal finances.

He assumed office as Chairman of the British Broadcasting Corporation on 10/2/21 or 10 February, the 41st day of the year.

The very next day - 29th April, The Guardian Newspaper published a cartoon of Richard Sharp, which had the hallmarks of typical antisemitic imagery. (It is offensive therefore it is not shown here.)

This story comes in light of the recent expelling of Andrew Bridgen MP [detailed in a previous blog) from The Conservative Party, for making a Holocaust comparison, and Diane Abbott MP being suspended from The Labour Party, also for a comment in The Guardians' sister newspaper The Observer, about Jewish people.

There appears to be a theme and some messaging here.

He has resigned for breaching the governance code for public appointments - the details which, for this blog are irrelevant.

If you recall Feb 10 is the anniversary of Richard Sharp assuming office as chairman of the BBC.

The number 201 also features in the recent cases of Andrew Bridgen MP and Diane Abbott MP.

Both involving alledged Anti-Semitism.
